Nova Scotia’s first private four-season active lifestyle community is under way. Nestled in Mill Cove on the Province’s scenic south shore, Aspotogan Ridge is a dynamic new 550-acre active lifestyle golf and residential community unlike any other in Nova Scotia.

“Golf is just one of many reasons why it will be easy to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle here in Aspotogan Ridge” said Barry Publicover one of two partners in the development.

Here, you will experience the best of both worlds – a quick, easy commute to work, and dine in Halifax, and then escape to rejuvenate in the tranquility of your own piece of paradise. You will only find that lifetstyle in a seacoast community like Aspotogan Ridge, where ocean views, fresh air and pristine splendor abound.

Whatever your age or interests, you’ll find something here that will appeal to you..
Families will appreciate having a playground, soccer field and ball fields. Outdoor enthusiasts will find many beaches, lakes and trails that are perfect for fishing, swimming, hiking. boating and sailing in summer, skiing, hockey, skating and snowmobiling in winter. In fact, you’ll find ready access to several outstanding trails including the Trans-Canada trail system.
The sale of Phase 1 lots started in early November and was 50% sold out in one week. Phase 2 will come on stream by January 1. The permit for the golf course is now in hand and the course architect Robert Leblanc has just completed the centerline cut plan which will allow construction of the 18 hole championship golf course to start immediately. Key infrastructure is already in place with more than 3km of road, power, communication and high speed internet in place. Aspotogan Elementary School a new P3 school with a large playground and soccer field is connected to the site and two regulation size ball fields have been donated to the municipality.

Robert Leblanc noted in reviewing his final design “the addition of 150 acres to the original site, which encompasses Farm Lake will add some spectacular golf holes to the already mature forest, scenic wetlands and panoramic vistas of Aspotogan Ridge.” Leblanc added, “The 7,000 yard championship course will be a credit to the community, and a challenge and delight to play.”
Approximately 300 homes of various styles and designs from single family residential, townhouse and single level 50+ residential units are expected to be constructed over the next few years. The first show homes will be built in early spring. The developers of Aspotogan Ridge, Aspotogan Developments Ltd. said they are delighted that the development is now under way and attracting the attention of people from all over Canada, US and Europe and is shaping up to be a world class location which the residents of Aspotogan Ridge and the surrounding area of Mill Cove and St. Margaret’s Bay will be proud of.
