Aspotogan Ridge highlights progress in advance of opening

Hubbards, NS – Aspotogan Ridge, the 18-hole championship golf course and 550-acre family lifestyle community taking shape in Mill Cove near Hubbards, is ready for a public preview to show off the development prior to the official opening of the front nine in June 2016.

“We are full steam ahead with this development and every week there are visible signs we are getting closer, from progress on the front nine, construction of a temporary club house, upgrades to our sales centre and hiring of staff, to advertising, signage and selling lots,” says Chris Fourgnauld, VP of Sales and Development.

“We’ve had great feedback from community members, potential home-buyers, golfers, realtors and the general public, all wondering what is happening up here,” says Fourgnauld, “So we decided to host a special preview event so they can see for themselves the major progress we are making…get everyone excited about this great development and the benefits to the area.”

Barry Publicover, President of Aspotogan Developments explains, “Not only will Aspotogan Ridge be terrific for golfers and those who settle into our dynamic community, it is great news for the area. Golfers will drive through St. Margaret’s Bay communities to get here –spending money on gas, food, and lodging, and over 400 new households will bring tax revenue and the need for goods and services to the community.”

Publicover and his Aspotogan Ridge partner, the Belgian investment firm, Land Invest Group, invite the public to a free community event on Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., at 14 Parkwood Drive, in Mill Cove on highway 329, to:

  • Learn about limited-time opportunities and incentives for home buyers.
  • Tour the course, see available lots and home designs.
  • Sample free local food and drinks, and enjoy activities for golfers and families.
  • Participate in contests for prizes.

Aspotogan Ridge combines the beauty of nature, the coastal lifestyle of the South Shore, and all the amenities homeowners could want, only half-hour drive from Halifax. The subdivision will include 400 + properties ranging from cozy homes for two to estate-style homes for growing families.

The 18-hole championship golf course designed by Atlantic Canada’s leading golf course architect, Robert LeBlanc, highlights the rolling wooded area and features inland lakes, rolling plains, meadows, river valleys, rocky bluffs, and coastal estuaries. Developers incorporated ecological design principles right from the initial design phase, carefully siting the course to avoid the most sensitive parts of the property. The golf course is designed to conserve water, preserve sensitive ecological areas like the wetlands, fit the land and preserve old growth pine stands wherever possible. It will be ideal for players of all levels.
